View Full Version : i made a chimney in a different file and linked it

it has its own level that it brings in and shows in all of my other elevation and section views....i went back to the referenced/linked model and can't find anyway to affect it so that its level tags don't show up in my base model

Turn them off in Visibility/Graphics. Under Revit Links - Display Settings - Annotation Categories

Linked models have a default setting that has their model and annotation categories controlled "by Host View" - meaning if you turn off the levels in your project model, it will turn them off in any linked models as well.

If you want for ONLY the linked models' levels to be turned off, and still see your project's levels, you need to set the VG > Revit Links > [chimney model] to Custom, then go to it's Annotations tab, set it to Custom, and then you can turn off the linked model's categories without turning them off in the main model.
