Hi all,
can anyone shed some light as to why my roof will not model correctly.
Please see attached image.
The perimeter is at a consistent height, but for some reason it wants to place a stupid valley portion, as highlighted.
Any ideas?

That´s because the width of the building varies... You´ll have to adjust the width, or adjust the slope to get an even ridge height ;)

Not sure I follow.
The ridge line running north/south and the ridge running east/west are both equal from thier respective roof edges.
The eave level is set at a constant height and the slopes are all equal.
In reality, the roof should join where the ref planes are drawn, along the valley.
I have managed to get it to work by creating it in two sections (as attached)
For interest sake, the area inside the roof to the top left is actually a "lift up" roof structure to create an observation deck.....

My fault ! Failed to see the ref. lines on your attached image, and thought you wanted something like this: (Then A should have been equal to A)

Make sure you don't have the Overhang or Offset used on any of the edges. I have found that if one of those is used in any area the roof fails to resolve itself well.
