Example:

Architect links in the structural model. Structural model links in but all exterior girts are missing.

Structural examine their file / model. All girts were put on a workset. Structural opens a new 3D view and turns on all worksets then saves file and sends a copy to the Architect.

Architect links in Model and again the girts do not appear.

Where does the information from a linked file come from? Is it from a specific view?

Can you tailor your model for the person linking it in?

I have to solve a problem like this in the next hour or I'm (Insert Highly Colorful word)

perhaps view discipline in host file is the reason, try coordination

Also, if the Architect does not have the Structural model set to Custom, then the catagories in the architect's model control visibility, and whatever catagory the girts are created in may be off in the architectural model.

Another possiblility may be detail level set in the Architect's model?
