In our office we deal with alot of multi story wood buildings where we like to have a joist schedule. Is there a way to link the beam systems to some sort of schedule. On plan I would like to simple just see a J5 or something that we could name whatever we want to. In the schedule I need that mark to show up as well as what type of beams or joists are being used in the beam system and there spacing. Is this something anyone else has run in to or do I just have to make a work around as we have previously been doing?

I take it no one has an answer to this question. I dont understand how everything else can be scheduled except the beam systems.

A beam system is made of structural framing elements.
Therefore to get a schedule you need to create a structural framing shedule and filter for the joists.

Only problem with that is your not calling any information out of the beam system itself as in what the centre to centre spacing is, the beam system tag, or what beams are in the beam system itself. I know how to get a framing schedule and tag beams and to get that to work nicelly. But I have found nothing that will call up any information from a beam system itself and put that into a schedule.
