Floor Slab & Trenches

I'm fairly new to Revit. I'm trying to create trenches in floor slabs and was wondering it is possible to:

1. have revit detects intersection between trenches and adjust trench wall intersection.
2. have Revit create opening in slab automatically where trenches are to run on the floor slab.

I'm not sure how to go about it. Any pointers please.

You can make a floor based family with a void in it that cuts the floor and build geometry around it. I've done it a few diff. ways. You can use openings in the floor, then create a second floor slab with a - offset from the floor and use slab edges to show it correctly.
