I have cut-and-pasted a line type that has a solid line between the text id.

My question is: How can I make that line dashed between the text id?

*INDUSTRIAL WATER,Industrial Water- ---- IW ---- IW ---- IW ----
A,.5,-.2,["IW",STANDARD,S=.1,R=0.0,X=-0.1,Y=-.05],-.2

Thanks! Donna

Donna, have you studied the linetype syntax in the customization guide (http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS73099cc142f4875513fb5cd10c4aa30d6b-7e6f.htm,topicNumber=d0e367341)?

On the second line, the .5 is a dash, the -.2 is a gap then your text, then the last -.2 is a gap. Then is starts over again. If you want two dashes instead of the single .5 dash, then replace .5 with a line, gap, then another line -- maybe something like .16,-.16,.16
