Dimensions

I want to place a dimensions between two points. One is at the start of a radiused wall, the second is along that radius at an odd angle. (We have a fixture that needs blocking between these two points.) How do you place such a dimension? I drew a model line between these two points and could create the dimension, but when I erase the model line, the dimension goes away as well.

Two ways. One is the Arc Length dimension type. The other would be to use a Linear dimension type but hit TAB until you can pick just a point to dimension at each end.
