I'm working on a project where the MEP trades all have separate models. In the electrical model we'd like to copy/monitor the mechanical equipment in. I'm running into a few issues.

1 - When I run a coordination review of the mechanical model, and a piece of equipment has moved, I'm not given the option to move my equipment to match the changes (available actions are postpone, accept, and reject). Is this a flaw in the copy/monitor function or am I doing something incorrectly?

2 - For this job the mechanical equipment will not have the electrical load information entered into it. Instead, I was going to overlay the equipment with a generic motor family containing a connector and our standard 2d symbol. I'd like to anchor this family onto the copy/monitored equipment so that it follows the equipment should it move. Is this possible? It will allow me to create a constraint, but only for the y-axis.

I haven't seen the copy/ monitor scenario work well in this application. I more often see the electrical place their own family rather than trying to copy/ monitor the mechanical.

You can monitor an element in your electrical model to an element in a linked mechanical model to at least receive a warning if it moves.
Good Luck.
