Any way to get a CAD file back out of Revit?

We're working on a new project based off of a 2005 project. We lost a bunch of our old archived projects last year, and only have a few files here and there from most of those archived projects. So we have this old Revit file, which has several CAD files linked in. The CAD files show up when I open the file, but under Manage Links they all say Not Found. The files do not exist on our servers anymore.

Is there any way to extract any of that information back out of the Revit file, or otherwise use those files in another project?

I can't think of any method other than isolating this Import in its own view and then Exporting to DWG. Certainly not the same as having the original but hopefully better than nothing.
