Skisouth, I would be interested to know about the spec's of the computer system you work on. Would you share this info? dual-processors? graphics card? memory? ram? etc. You are always showing very nice work. I am wondering what kind of system it takes to support and produce this quality of work. Thanks

Not much actually. I can't afford the good stuff. You need to check out the spreadsheet with performance parameters listed. There's some blistering fast stuff there. Anyway, remember Revit currently does not recognise multiple processors. However, the accurender program does (Now how they can embed a program that does recognise multiple processors inside of one that does not - beats me... )
Anyway- I run Windows Server 2003, with an old Dell Poweredge 6300 server I bought on ebay with 1 gig of memory, a Raid Scsi Array for $1200 US. Bought an Nvidia graphics card (GeForce FX 5200 with 128 MB). The Dell has four 900 Mhz Xeon PIII processors. (Remember XP will only recognize 2 processors - that's why I run the Server software- just configure it like XP workstation)
Its really more of a planning approach. Don't go for 800 DPI at first. Run everything at 72 DPI, (looks like **** but you see what you missed). The image posted here was probably the eighth "FINAL" rendering. Man-- I lose so much money "tweaking". Be really careful there. Its too easy to get focused on the rendering and not the production (read making money) side of things. The current offers with P4's would probably run rings around what I'm doing. Like I said- visit the performance spreadsheet - tucked away somewhere - Might be in Zoog's morgue... Good luck. Let us know what you do with your equipment choice. Oh yeah - DON' T skimp on memory - That's a biggie - Get 2 Gigs or more.
(you guys have GOT to get Spell check running - Man a dunce like me needs it!!)
