I want to create my own sign for the front of my building. Can this be done on revit?

Sure it can. What kind of sign do you want to create? Raised letters? Use Model Text. Is it more like a "billboard" sign? Then use a Decal and import an image file. There are multiple other ways to make signs. All depends on what you want.
