(I like to use room schedules for area calcs, to avoid the whole process of creating area plans). I have a high-rise building full of 2-story condos. The lower level of a unit, say unit 610, is named "610." The upper level of that unit is named "610 up." I use "contains up" as a filter to count condos. For the area schedule, I have a list of all of the condos (filtering out circulation, services, etc.) I would like to show a subtotal of each unit. So, this subtotal would add 610 and 610 up to give a total for unit 610, and so on for all the condos. How would I do this?

Try this:
Add a project parameter to rooms, i.e "suite number", place a unique value in it for all the rooms in a condo unit, then sort & subtotal on it.

That makes alot of sense, but is that the only way? I was hoping somebody had a trick I could do without adding a parameter.

OK, andrewg, I did what you suggested and it wasn't so labor intensive after all. Parameters are OK afterall!
