Underline Issue

I am having an issue with underlined text within MTEXT. The General Notes section on a set of drawings has a few words that are underlined and look fine on screen & in the plot preview. After plotting, there is an additional space placed before the word (It happens 98% of the time). I've tried work arounds such as intentionally leaving no space before the word. It still happens. I even tried not using the underline on the word but adding a drawn in line under the word, but after plotting, the line is not under the word and is shifted over.

Has anyone else come across this issue & if so what have you done to fix it?

That's nothing I've seen to date. can you post a sample that shows the behavior?

I'd also advise posting a sample, it sounds very strange. Maybe something to do with automatic list formatting, but then why does it only produce the error on a plot?
