Slab Profile

Greetings:
Having trouble creating a basic slab profile in Revit architecture (see photo). I basically want to show the slab and perimeter beam as a single unit. When I try to edit the slab in section it always reverts me back to a plan view. Also tried to revise the slab profile using a profile template with no luck. Any insights www?

The slab itself is only a projection of a sketch, thats why you can only modify in plan view.
You need to use Slad Edge to control the edges. Create the profile, assign it to the slabd edge and apply it.

I'd suggest you model it how it was built. Add beam & structural slab. Then add a 2 1/2" topping slab where it was required. No need to modify anything. Just make the topping slab from a different material (say 2500psi concrete) and they won't join together.
That's how I've done it the past.
