STAIR UP ARROW
Even though my arrow box in view properties for a stair is checked it doesn't show in view anyone know how to address this?

DELETED CEILING PLAN VIEWPORT

I mistakenly deleted a ceiling plan from the project browser. is there anyway to get it back?

TEXT SIZE OF VIEWPORT???

Is there any way to change the text size of drawing name and scale which appear when one places a viewport on a sheet.

thanks for suggestions and comments

not sure about the stairs issue, i can't seem to replicate the problem on my end

As for the ceiling plan. Go to the View tab > Plan View Dropdown > Reflected Ceiling Plan
you might have to uncheck the "Do Not Duplicate Existing Views" though the one you need SHOULD show up seeing as it's been deleted by accident. Select that level, click OK and you're set (make sure it's to the scale you want, though changing that later is a snap!)

Lastly... the viewtitle... You can edit the family if you wish to have a larger font size.
In the project browser > under families > annotation symbols > View title
right click that, select "edit family"

hope that helps.. 2/3!

Ummm....what version of Revit? 2009 wouldn't show the arrow unless the stair was adjusted to be transparent.

The 'Run' line (the blue one created when you first make a run stair) is what makes the arrow appear and controls its location.

Dimitri, nice pick-up on that, I never noticed that was a driving factor in it. Strange...

However, i had noticed that I can't add it unless using the run tool. Time to figure that one out.

Stupid Run Lines.... :banghead:

interestingly, while playing around with the stairs, if you move the run line to be off-of-center, then the arrow shows up where that line is. And no way to add one after the fact. Strange, seeing as that means you can't have a native arrow pointing the up direction if the stair is of a custom shape.

Is this something that was accidentally removed from a previous version and I just never noticed? or has it always been like this?

Also, you can't rotate the run line once it's been placed, just stretch/shrink it... i'm starting to hate the run tool more and more now...

STAIR ARROW
i'm using revit 2010, the stair is a 3-flight stair and i used the 'boundary' and 'riser' methods to model it.
apparently the arrow only shows when you use the 'run' method'
thx for responses

RE: STAIR ARROW -

Actually, that behavior (with the Run line) has been around as long as I can remember). ONE of the reasons why we turn that puppy off and use... (wait for it)... a Annotation of an arrow. Sounds silly I know, but annotation has to happen anyway, so.... (workaround #4531)

Would like to read some more on this workaround. )
