Downloaded and installed Revit 2011 and 32bit Update 2 I got from Autodesk. When I try to open the program to activate, after installation, I get an error message: a software problem has caused Revit Architecture 2011 to close unexpectedly - so I cannot open the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times with no luck. I have windows xp - 32bit
Autodesk says to join forums to fix the problem - they don't have a solution
Please help

As painful as this is going to be, you're probably going to have to uninstall, download again, and reinstall. It sounds like the install file you downloaded may have lost something along the way. There could be other solutions, but since you were never able to get the program up and running before, re-downloading and re-installing is probably the best option.

When you install do you turn off your anti-virus?
Disable all hardware acceleration on your graphic cards too and make sure you have the latest drivers.

Like I said before, I think you may have gotten a rotten download. No matter how many times you uninstall/reinstall it, it's still gonna be rotten. Have you tried re-downloading it yet?
