Layer Properties Manager

My Layer Properties Manager has nothing but a big red X in the space where the list of layers is normally.

Any help would be appreciatred.

Sounds like a corrupted layer. Recover the drawing, remove all XREFs, run an audit, and repeat.

I failed to mention that the same thing is occuring in all drawings that I open. I have tried about 10 drawings so far. The layers are there in the drop down box on the ribbon and I can manuplate them there.

I don't know if this makes a difference or not.

After re connecting to the server where the drawings are, everything is now working. Thanks for your help.

Some third party applications can do illegal things to the layers collection. I have one that sets line type values from a configuration file without checking to see if they are actually loaded/valid.
