I'm not a huge Ribbon fan but I'm forcing myself to use it. I'm looking to convert a legacy custom menu onto the Ribbon but really don't want to have to iconise every command. In AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 the Ribbon has what appears to be menu's embedded within the Ribbon for some commands (see attached image). For me this would be a perfect compromise except I can't figure out how to do it. When I expand the Ribbon Tab, it comes to a dead end (see second image attached).
Normally I turn my traditional menus on (menubar 1), but Autodesk seem intent on making us use the Robbon. I'm no fan of toolbars and the Ribbon is an improvement on those but it's a lot easier to read a few words in a cascading menu than figure out some microscopic icon to represent a function of action.
Does anyone know how the Ribbonised Cascading Menu's are created for Civil 3D? Will this ever be available for the rest of us?
