View Full Version : Structure shape does not reflect in plan and profile

Any reason my structure at the end of the pipe line has generic symbols in both plan and profile regardless of the changes I make to it? It's worth to note that I don't have a surface.

Thanks for any help!

After messing with the settings a little bit I got the structure to show in plan view. As you can see it isn't perpendicular to the pipe. Why would it be? That would make to much sense. The yellow polylines represent how the pipe and structure should actually look. The purple polyline represents the crooked 3D structure not perpendicular to the blue 3D pipe. As for the profile, the shape remains shown as a useless oval. Not reflecting reality at all.

Why would the default setting for any plan view be set to a generic symbol and have no reflection of the actual shape of the structure. That is useless for design and construction. The profile also does not reflect the shape of the structure I chose. What Civil engineer would ever use that and submit it as a plan set. Doesn't it make sense to have the default setting of a pipe struture show the ACTUAL dimension in plan view. Not vise-versa where the user has to bend backwards to show what's really happening.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
