detail link in detail

I experienced this several times. I am trying to reference another drafting view using section mark in current drafting view. But the section mark does not show any head / tail. It only shows the vertical line. do not know what to do to fix this. Any one else experienced this?

Your default Section that References Other View (which is the only type you can place in a drafting view) is set to only have the section line. You need to edit that section type to give it a head and a tail. I think the single line Section is the default Section when you start a Revit project without using a template.
