Hello,

I am trying to apply materials to a rhino model that I imported into Revit. I cannot figure out how. I was given the following directions but must be missing something. Once I create a new family, how do I add in the rhino model to add materials? (per step #2 below)

--Thanks!

Rhino to Revit Component Workflow:

Create a new Revit component (Mass, Furniture, etc.), then import the Rhino model into the Revit Component file

(a)Open the Revit Architecture pulldown menu (Revit button, upper left corner)>New>Family> (choose template)
Define the Rendering materials to be applied to the imported Rhino model (Manage tab>Materials)
Edit the Object Styles for Imported Category (Manage tab>Object Styles>Imported Objects tab)
Define the Material assignment for each layer in the Rhino import

(a) Hint: In Rhino define a layer for each unique material needed in Revit
Save the Revit component and Load into Project
Done
