copy through link

I've heard there was a way to copy objects through a link using TAB to select. Is this possible? Thanks.

Hover over the item from the linked file and use the tab button to cycle through the available items. When the item you want is highlighted, choose it with your left mouse button and you can then copy/paste within your file from the link.
