Phase Overrides

My firm shows walls in plan in fine detail so we can see the assembly. They also show the wall assembly in plan in fine detal when it's an existing wall to remain. I know...don't ask how they know what it's REALLY made of but anyway...

I can't seem to find a way to show an existing wall to remain the way I want it to in an New Construction Phase when the Phase Filter is set to "Show Previous and New". I want the existing wall to still show up light gray in fine detail and the new wall to show up in fine detail with black lines. I can't seem to find a way to do this without the wall changing to course detail.

Try this:

In the Phases > Graphic Overrides dialog, for "Existing," clear the Material.

This changes my views to display as you describe, but depending on your settings, you may also need to modify the overrides for Cut Patterns.
