No, AutoCAD Mechanical is for enhanced 2D design. It was made for all those who refuse to get with the fact that the world is 3D. I only use it in Vanilla mode once I first loaded it and discovered how most of the enhancements are for 2D-only work. I make use of the better connectivity with Inventor and the power dimensioning and a few other annotation features. The 2D drawing and design features I leave alone so as not to get stuck being unable to edit in plain AutoCAD.
