generating terrain out of surveyor's points

I have received the survey points of a site from the surveyor. I am trying to build the 3D terrain. I usually interpolate the contours point by point from the survey points and then use those to generate the terrain. Is there an easier (faster) way where I can generate the terrain directly from the 3d points?

The DRAPE command can create a masselement terrain model from plines at their levels.
The surveyor should be able to easily create the plines at level for you.

There are some 3d party tools out there that might do it. I think EasySite from cadeasy can do it I think.
