Sketch lines for Plan region not visible

When I draw the first line on a plan region I get the 'element not visible' error. I can complete the sketch and the region is visible. But i cannot edit the region because the sketch lines disappear again. What is wrong and how can I fix it. Thanks.

The first thing to check would be Visibility/Graphics. Type VG and under Annotations Categories make sure Plan Regions is checked.

If this doesn't solve it check the offset shown when you are drawing the Plan Region, and make sure it coincides with the View Depth of the plan view you are working in.

Also make sure your <boundary> line type is not turned off....

In Visibility/Graphics Overrides under Model Categories you need 'lines' to be visible even if all of the subcategories of 'lines' are turned off.
