Hi everybody,

I imported a file made in revit (DWG format) into 3ds max for rendering. & was faced with this problem: http://imageshare.web.id/images/dz27340fq5ayvihkvul.jpg
The 3d view looks currupted, with black areas, making it hard for me to work on objects.

How can I fix the way the 3d view looks like?

I have one other tiny question , if I were to draw an object from scratch, what's the best tool for drawing in in Revit architecture 2011? I know it's a very general question, but where do I start? just the name of the tool would be helpful in my learning stage.

Thanks alot guys <3 luv u much!!

did you try using and FBX export instead of DWG?

just curious...

Your image link doesn't work...why not just attach it to your post?

Start a new project in revit, draw a simple wall with whatever material it is that isn't showing up in your 3DS render, export the file to both .dwg and .fbx, import each of those into a new 3DS file, and render. From this, you should be able to deduce whether the rendering problem is coming from Revit, the filetype, the material, or 3DS. From there, we might be able to provide you with a workable solution.
