Area Plans

Hi!

We have an area plan which is all nicely coloured! However, when we change to a "shaded with edges" view, the colours disappear. Are we doing anything wrong? Is there a workaround?

What effect are you trying to achieve by switching to shaded with edges on a floor plan?

there is a workaround you could try, dont know it will work. Go to tips and tricks section on this site and look at "transparent filled regions" try something along that lines with your area plan. otherwise it sounds like you will have to have live with only the areas coloured and not the site,walls,windows etc etc...

The reason we're trying to do this is so we can infill the walls of the building with shading so they stand out a little better.

Try using the Coarse display level, changing the wall styles to use a solid fill when in coarse display and alter the color of the solid fill as desired. Then use medium for your main plans...this way you don't have to change the wall styles afterward. Don't know how many walls you have but it will work.
