3 questions here...

-I have linked a .DWG file to my revit project to trace floor plans but the .DWG file has a lot of other line work around the plan im using (details/elevations). Is there a way to trim back the extents of the visible CAD link?

- how can i change the orbit tools pivot point to permanently be centered on my plan?

- Is there a way to turn off the DWG link completely without deleting it, other than switching what views its visible in?

-toggle/use your "crop view" & "crop regions"

-select/highlight the object first, and then orbit/pivot

-Make sure you are using a worksharing and then create a Workset called "AutoCAD imports" and then un-check the "visible in all views" box, then use your "visibility graphics" to turn on & off the "AutoCAD imports workset".

Visibility Graphics (VG for short) - Imported Categories. Turn off unwanted layers. If you want to hide something in a view, select it, type VH for "Visibility-Hide" Use the little light bulb icon to turn it back on.
