Lachmi is a wonderful resource on architectural CAD. She's right in there on ADT, Revit, and Bentley's products.

I agree with all that she's written - ADT has come a long way, but it's a piecemeal approach to putting a building together.

Bentley's approach seems even tougher - you have Bentley Architecture running on Triforma running on Microstation! Three layers of apps - yikes!! - though the process of putting a building together in BA/Triforma/uStation seems quite similar to ADT.
