Two pitch roof as one object - possible?

I have an octagonal room with a two pitch roof on it - 9:12 for the inner section and 6:12 for the outer. Is there a way to do this as a single roof object?

I would just build the lower roof to a cutoff-off level, then build the steeper pitched roof using the cut-off level as its base.

check out the intersecting roof lines tutorial. that will give you some help. although it is very simply written, not with a lot of detail but i think you will get the idea

...it could also be done as an extruded roof depending on the plan.

I would do as Beegee suggested. (As always!)
If you go to the Revit site, there is a tutorial in the roof section call, "Making a Mansard Roof". It is identical to yours, only different. (wow, that's deep!) Just make your slopes to match your design. http://revit.autodesk.com/EN/6_0/Documents/TutorialsImperialENU.chm
