View Full Version : Why do sloped floors ignore their level setting?

I have noticed that a floor element with a slope-defining line seems to ignore its level setting. It seems like it will only reside on the level based on the work plane set in the plan view in which the floor was initially sketched.

I have a new building that has changed elevation with respect to the adjacent existing building, and now I need to change the host level of the floor. I had to create a new plan view at the different floor level, delete and re-make the floor from that new plan view.

There has to be easier way, is there not?

Hmmm. Floor elements do let you change Level association - both if the floor is sloped by setting slope to a boundary line, or if it has modified sub-elements. Was your floor boundary perhaps created by picking edges of elements that are tied to the level that you can't change from?
