Measure Between References Tool

Has anyone ever adjusted the unit settings for the Measure Between Two References tool? It does not appear to be controlled by Project unit settings, as I have those set at feet and fractional inches to measure to the 1/32nd, but the tool is taking measurements out to the 1/256th.

That's kind of the point of the Measure Tool. It gives you and ACCURATE display of the distance between two objects. If you were to round it off, who's to kee psomeone from rounding it off to the nearest inch, and screwing up their model?

If you really, really need to get a distance that's rounded off, place a Dimension and use a rounded off Dimension Style. (Although I still say it's not a good idea.)

I understand the need for consistent accuracy, I just think 1/256 of an inch is arbitrary and well outside normal (and useful) construction tolerances. At least in our construction types.
