just updated to 2011 about to go to 2012 i have an issue when loading families

I've seen that error when someone has tried to load two different categories of families (both a beam and a column for example) using the 'load family' button specific to a tool, such as beam, rather than the load family button available on the insert ribbon.

This error wasn't specific to changing versions or anything, though.

EDIT: Looking at your PDF, I can see you tried to load a timber column family from the component tool, so it's the wrong category for the tool. Start the column tool first, or use the load family button on the insert ribbon.

Nothing to do with 2012, or the fact that you've just updated.
