If you are also having problems with printing or plotting with KIP 3000 or HP Plotters and printers then please let me know.

We're got a KIP 7700 and haven't had any issues plotting from RVT 2012.
Used to have issues plotting drawings with images from 2011, but that appears to have been resolved.

Can you try pressing the properties button to the right of the printer name in the print dialogue box and see if your Revit crashes please.

We have the KIP 3000. We have problems with print quality from Revit. Their printer drivers are made for AutoCAD not Revit. I had better luck with HP inkjet plotters and the new OCE plotters.

Hi Vgonzales

We have sorted out the print quality issue by configuring revit so that we get what we want, when I get back to the office after the easter break I can send you a copy of our template for you to examine if you wish.

As you have a KIP 3000 can you try pressing the Property button for me and seeing if your Revit or AutoCAD 2012 also crashes.

I've tried from two different pc on our network, It would be good to know if this is restricted to Revit Structure or perhaps the UK version or does it apply to all versions no matter where installed.

Alan,

I have no problems with Revit 2012 when I click on the KIP properties button. I would check if you have the correct printer driver for Windows. We had to install the 64-bit version of the KIP driver on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit notebooks.

Our PCs and operating systems are still 32 bit

After some investigation we have been informed that a Revit 2012 compatible driver is to be released “imminently” so keep on checking the KIP website for updates:-

I'm still trying to find out how imminent "imminently" is?

We aren't getting the crashes as mentioned here, but we do end up with non-responsive buttons while trying to print (to any print source) as of lately for any file. We think it may be driver related seeing a few other post on the web, but we're working on it and hoping theres a fix.
