profile not cutting...

I have created a profile to use as a wall curb it is 6" above my slab which is where I want to door to sit. Can anyone help me to figure out how to get the door family to hide or cut the wall...I tried to add an opening to the jamb of the door but it wouldn't allow me to (may be a reference plane issue or system family issue) None the less the door family will block out the curb with the trim jus not the opening...

There's a switch for cuttable or not cuttable by openings.
