I have created attached recessed paper towel dispenser/trash based on Bobrick's equipment (anyone is welcome to download it - I'll put in on the exchange when uploads happen).

However, being recessed, it needs to cut the wall. This is fine, but in plan in the project, I get the full outline of the wall cut. I would much rather have the linework of the wall continue as is, and just put hidden symbolic lines to represent the cut into the wall. I can do the symbolic lines just fine, but I can't figure out how to tell it not to display the cut into the wall. Is this possible or should I just live with it how it is?

The simplest solution may be to place a small plan region over the dispenser to change the cut plan to be above the void.

Alternatively, you could delete the void and add symbolic elevation linework, but then the 3D will not display correctly.

If neither of those appeals, I would accept the cut in the wall, as it is graphically correct for a recess this tall anyway.

that's what I figured. I'm not too apposed to it as it is actually correct, as you say, just wondering. thanks for the response.
