Revit Issue

Can anyone help?
I am using revit architecture 2009.
In my 3D view,I have hidden lines everywhere almost like there are 2 views present at the one time ie:shading with edges and wire frame.
the view is ok at zoom extents,but when zoomed in the view becomes very messy.

looks like walls are set to display transparent in that view, I'd start with checking your visibility graphics settings for that view for the walls category.

Try creating another view....sometimes 3D Views get corrupted....

Also check the transparency setting of the materials you have been setting to your walls and such.

Tried creating another view [still same problem]
Checked visibility/graphics they are at default settings ??
There is a problem with 3D Views ie: if i select a wall a message window pops up telling me of unrecoverable error and will need to be shutdown?

Is 3D hardware acceleration turned on?

Did you check your material transparency? (not visual graphics....materials)

I used to see this problem come up a bit in R2009 - it seems the whole file gets somehow corrupted sometimes. After trying all the visibility settings, try opening a blank file and copy / paste your building into it and see if it views ok.

I only ever saw it on the student's computers where I teach at the local TAFE but the only way to ultimately fix it was to get the building into a brand new file.

3D Views all good now,copy and paste to new file done the trick thanks Exar Kun excellent work. Thanks to all responses.

I have one other problem that I can't resolve.
In materials-Masonary Concrete Block-how do I change the surface pattern to reflect a 390x190 australian size block with 10mm mortar gaps.

You will need to modify a pattern to reflect that size....

Do a search for Revit.pat on your computer...Should under the data folder in your Revit install....

Then create a new pattern based on the CMU block that is listed already....

There are directions on how to create a pattern in that file...if your using Metric then you will still need to open the Revit.pat as that is where the directions are...but modify the metric version instead...
