Where is the default level??

My Revit architecture 2012 has no any template and family...
So I wanna create a custom template in the revit architecture 2012 ...
But since I create the new project with none template thru revit 2012...
There is one level which called level 1 have already been set up without any elevation view...
After I create the elevation for the project ..
I can't see any level in my view ....
Who can tell me where the defalut level have gone ...

It's in there, I found it by cutting a section about 25' long then I opened the section view and there was a horizontal line in there, I selected it and it is the Level 1 you were looking for.

Yeah, I find the default level finally by following you method....
thx in advance....
I just curious how the developer create the default template with two display levels in the elevations....
Cuz the method you provided could only change the default level .....
