Hello,
I am new to autocad map3D. The work I have to carry out is to create 3D models from a shapefile which has some co-ordinate system. i have connected the shape file but unable to work on it. When i import it i am able extrude it but one by one. Is there any option where the extrude command works for all the polygons that are there in the shape file taking the height of extrusion as the height value given as the attribute in the shapefile. Also let me know how to model the roof. Typically a inclined or a tilled roof.

Thank u very much in this regard.

I am also learning MAP 3D. AutoDesk has a tutorial video on this topic:
http://docs.autodesk.com/MAP/2012/ENU/animations/video_5_rough_cut.html

I have not used that means. When I have to use data from ArcView I export the SHP as a DWG and then use that in CAD. I don't think the SHP file is editable in CAD as is. You have to import it using this tutorial or only view it as a SHP file reference.
