The new massing tools drive me up the wall, but I suppose I should learn how to use them.

In 2009, I would use a Blend and it would take me 20 seconds. I want an irregular quadrilateral as the Base and the same shape offset by 300mm on only 3 sides as the Top. Not much to ask is it? I can't figure out a way of getting the precise shape I'm after. Everything I try ends up with innacuracies. Those sloping slides have to be perfectly flat, not "nearly" flat.

draw your two profiles where needed. select the profiles, select create shape. (assuming you are in conceptual mass mode) This does not work?

Ah, didn't realise you could create from separate loops, thanks!

Yeah pretty much everything you make as far as massing and conceptual modeling must start as a simple shape. You select the shape (or shapes) and then click Create Form.

I have some catching up to do, really. For now, I'm still in "the old way was better!" mode, but hopefully I can put it behind me!
