Graphics Issue or Revit bug?

This is a weird issue. One of our users is doing some renderings. When he clicks on the "Manage" - "Materials" and then goes to the "Render Appearance" tab everything looks good (see attached 'graphics issue #1').

I already set the render appearance to display as 'draft', but the problem occurs when he clicks "Replace". The window that comes up is cutoff but still selectable (the little he can see). It is very strange because it happens seemingly randomly. Sometimes its fine. After some time when it is working it will cutoff again (see attached 'graphics issue #2).

Any ideas?

Restart Revit?

Restart PC?

Latest Correct Graphics Driver? Is your graphics card on the supported list?

If wasn't happening before, what changed? new installs? updates? Is a system restore possible?

Also threre are some other issues that cause the problem. Looks like this is 2011, there is a hotfix for black materials and some issues with Wacom Tablet drivers. We had this pop in 2012 right away and had to reinstall the Autodesk Material libraries.
