Custom Hatch Patterns

(Using Civil3D2010 on WindowsXP-SP3) I have copied several custom hatch patterns from a colleague and I want to add them to my custom hatch pallette. Following the instructions in "help" I copied them to a folder in my current support file search path (the first one on my list, in fact, where I have lots of custom files, blocks, and lsps). When I try to use the custom hatch patterns, only the first one I copied in to that folder will show. Again, the "help" tells me I should see the most recent six patterns listed. I only see the one. What am I missing?

When I searched the threads before posting this, I did not find any threads with custom hatch in the text, so I apologize. After posting, there were several suggested similar posts on the board below. Mike answered this in 2007. Sorry if I wasted your time in reading this.
