2012 Items Background vanishes?

Hey!

Got a problem in 2012 hope someone can help. I am modeling an in-place family - a curved counter top.

Select Componet (pull down)
Select Model in Place
Select Casework - (Family Categroy
Name - Coffee CT
Select Extrusion (Home - forms Panel)

PROBLEM

The grayed out background disappears! Never had this problem in any other release on the same computer.

Got any ideas?

Not sure what you mean when you say 'the grayed out background'. Can you attach a screen capture? (not sure how you might capture what isn't there but...)

Are you referring to the other items in the view that go to grayscale while in-place family editing? I just tried it in 2012 with no issues.

Just got back to work -been off on personal matters-
Seems when I added more RAM (24 GB - <grin>) something got re-set on my Monitor. Not enough contrast - washed out the Gray Background to the model when I wanted to do an in-place family. Only happened when I did an in-place family. Thought it was a graphic card problem. Everything worked fine in 2011, This was only in 2012. Stepped back to a different driver.
