For those of you who use Piranesi, they have just posted a plugin that will export a 3D view directly to an epix file. I have tried for a few tests and every thing seems to work well including the transparency in glass, that required a workaround in Vedute.
When it is installed it will appear in the Add-Ins>External tools.
After playing around with it is still has drawbackes regarding transparency. I have gone back to the longer route with Vedute until I can get some clarification and a possible solution. I'll post more when I find out.
