Hi guys,
I'm trying to link two projects I've made, but the linking dialog box only shows .rvt files.
Somehow I saved my work as a .rte, how can I save them as .rvt to be able to link them together??
I hope this isn't impossible
Thanks,
Carrie

An .rte file is what all Revit projects start from.
All you have to to is create a new project and use your .rte as the Template.
Then Save this file as a Project.
My guess is what you did was Open the .rte instead of making a New project.

I think you can't do this operation from the startup menu....In an open project, start a new project from the 'R' dropdown, use your .rte file as the template (the one you want converted to a rvt.), then save as.

Or within Windows Explorer - Just rename the .rte file to .rvt
That should do the trick
