Sphere with hexagon surface

Hi all,

one question:

how difficult it is to model a sphere, which would have surface made of hexagon shaped panels?
Since the sphere is splitted into two halfs and it has poles, the grid tool doesn't seem to work..

Create your sphere mass form, click on each half of the surface, click Divide Surface on the ribbon, and then change the surface from "No Pattern" to Hexagon and adjust the panel sizes as needed.

You can also load a hexagon curtain panel family if you need them to be curtain panels.

Unfortunately I don't know if there's a way to make the full surface of the sphere be an uninterrupted pattern, like a soccer ball (although that's actually a combo of pentagons and hexagons but anyway...). If anyone knows of a way please share with us.
