Using Revit 2012. In the model the tile materials are alligned to the correct loctaions, then when I render a view the rendered materials offset. I aligned the materials using the graphic pattern.

I can't figure out why this is happeneing. I have tried adjusting several things, but i have a feeling it has to do with the material appearence.

I am using a ceramic type, tiles, Stack Bond. Under Stacking Layout, it says line shift is 0.5. the line shift is dark so i am not sure if is effecting the rendering but it will not let me change it. Then, if I switch to a custom bond it will let me change the line shift but throws everything off.

Once again, everything looks corrects when viewing in visual style: realistic. but the crosshatch alignment is offest in b other directions in a rendered view.

Any suggestions?

All,

The solution that we came up with was to turn off the grout thicknesses in the revit model and edit the jpeg image (added grout lines) used for the tile appearence.

For some reason the model grout thicknesses being used in the rendering were creating the alignment problem.

Good luck, I hope this might help someone!
