Hide / Isolate loss of function?

Temporary Hide/isolate - how do I make the changes permanent like I could in 6.1? Have we lost this ability with 7.0?

I've been wondering the same thing. I thought it was just me and that I just couldn't find it.

This feature is like the good old Layer Freeze command which came in the Express Tools for AutoCAD, and was one of the more common commands I used.

its still there - just look for the familar "sunglasses" in the bottom toolbar

Yes I have been using it - love it!! but there is no option to make changes permanent like there was in 6.1........

I think this question was asked before. (That’s how I know the answer!)

From the View menu:

Category Invisible (VH)
Other Categories Invisible (VI)

These commands permanently modify View Visibility.

haha I was looking for that one. Now why dont you think that they didnt add that as an on off or a freeze Thaw command. I guess I still have a little acad left in me haha

Thank you :) Thats what I'm after

They would be nice to have on the sunglasses button too though..... It would be even nicer to be able to save a hide/isolate setting and to be able to print it as displayed too
