Hey all, wondering if someone can help me with a little problem. Hopefully the image link below attaches. I created two dormer windows, attached their roofs to the main roof and cut the cavity out of the main roof to bring up the dormer walls. All is fine until I go to attach fascia boards to the dormer roof. Instead of following the shorter line at the base of the dormer the fascia extends to the length of the dormer ridge and into the bedroom. If I try to pull the length of the fascia back it snaps back the ridge length, very irritating. Is there any way I can cut the face of the fascia to stop flush with the main roof?

Cheers for any feedback

Is this the shape of your dormer roof like what I posted below?

By default when I place the fascia it is equal to it's host length in the 1st image on the left below.

The fascias I am using work and I can adjust the grips at the ends to change the length all day long. hmmm?

Not sure what the problem is on your end?

Ya thats the shape but the fascia length seems to be determined by the ridge and not the host. I can stretch it but it spans back to the ridge length when it comes close to the roof intersect. I figured if there was a way I could cut the face of the fascia it would solve a problem I'm having in another part of the model where a small corner of a fascia is visible inside the building due to the way that the roofs intersect.
